About Tom

Nice to meet you! I’m Tom Casey, a Chicagoland real estate agent serving buyers, sellers, investors, and developers throughout the city and surrounding suburbs. I’m also a Chicago firefighter, and that service-oriented background has shaped the way I approach real estate: I stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, solve problems quickly, and take my responsibility to my clients seriously.

After spending more than five years working with real estate teams and developing experience across a wide range of transactions, I decided to build my own business at Compass. That allows me to provide highly personal service while giving my clients access to the technology, marketing resources, agent network, and private-listing opportunities of one of the country’s leading real estate brokerages.

I help clients:

  • Sell homes, condominiums, multifamily properties, and investment properties

  • Purchase primary residences and investment properties

  • Evaluate pricing, comparable sales, and neighborhood market conditions

  • Prepare and position properties to achieve the strongest possible sale price

  • Develop marketing strategies for both publicly listed and privately marketed homes

  • Negotiate contracts, inspection issues, credits, and other important transaction terms

  • Navigate each step of the process from the initial consultation through closing

My experience includes working across many different Chicago neighborhoods and surrounding suburbs with first-time buyers, experienced homeowners, investors, landlords, and developers. I understand that real estate conditions can change significantly from one neighborhood—or even one block—to another, so I focus on the details that actually influence a property’s value and marketability.

My goal is not simply to complete a transaction. It is to give every client the strategy, representation, and confidence they need to make a successful real estate decision, and to become the person they trust for future moves and referrals.
